What to Bring
What to Bring
Every camp is different, so it's important to know what you'll need to bring and what we will provide for you. PraiseWorks is on the campus of Ouachita Baptist University in Arkadelphia, Arkansas.
Here's our suggested list:
Black folder for choir music (please have name on the inside)
Pen or pencil
Instrument for orchestra members
Bedding (sleeping bag or sheets/blanket) and pillow
Money for snacks, ice cream shop, and OBU bookstore (no big bills, bring rolls of quarters for vending machines)
Cell phone (must be off during rehearsals, tracks, and worship)
Talent show music, accompaniment, props, etc (must sign up for talent show on the registration form)
Reminders For Tracks
Needed for all levels of guitar tracks -- advanced level prefers an electric guitar with a small amp.
An all black outfit (and one 'dressy' outfit for Omega Drama)
Drum sticks needed (preferably 5A or 7A)
Black pants, solid color shirt (any color), black socks or black jazz shoes
Camera required. (iPhone will work, but it is not ideal because you can't manipulate it and learn to be creative)
Advanced - bring a favorite hymn arrangement or worship song to play
Tech, Sound, Lighting:
Please do not repeat this class if you have taken it previously
Must have Minister of Music Recommendation
What to Wear for the Week
Modest shorts are fine for the morning and afternoon. Jeans, long pants, capris, dresses, or skirts are preferred for night. Wear only shirts with sleeves (no skinny straps, tank tops, negative logos or messages).
What to Wear for Friday Worship
PraiseWorks T-Shirt (provided)
Blue jeans (no shorts, capris, or holes)
Comfortable shoes (no flip flops)
PraiseWorks Mission Project
Last year’s school supply mission project helped connect many children and families to churches in the Delta, and many accepted Jesus. You can help that continue. We are again collecting school supplies for Arkansas Church Planters in the Delta, but it will be MUCH EASIER to participate! You can help that continue. Unlike last year, you don’t need to worry about making packets…just bring any items from this list: solid colored pocket folders, rainbow pack of construction paper (96 count), ruler, pencil sharpener, Crayola crayons (24 count), wide-ruled notebook paper (150 pages), composition notebook, children’s scissors, 3-hole fabric pencil pouch, blue pens, pencils, glue sticks, and block erasers. We will collect these items at the close of Wednesday evening’s worship. YOU DID AN AMAZING JOB LAST YEAR OF BRINGING SCHOOL SUPPLIES…KEEP UP THE GREAT WORK!
